Use your access email
Use the email associated with your Reporter Sidekick access. It can be different from your ChatGPT email. Creating an account alone does not authorize access to the tools.
Set up Reporter Sidekick Pro
Use Pro inside Codex with a folder on your computer. Your Reporter Sidekick login identifies your account, and the service checks your access. The stand-alone tools do not require this login.
Public installation is not available yet. If you have been given access, contact support for setup assistance.
Your Sidekick Profile access code

Open Sidekick Profile, choose your preferences, then click Download Your Profile and enter this code.
This code unlocks your profile download. Pro in Codex still requires verified sign-in with the email associated with your access.
Open Codex and install Pro
Sign in to Codex with your own eligible OpenAI account. Use the Pro installation link above when it becomes available, and follow the installation instructions shown by Codex.
Connect your Reporter Sidekick account
When Pro asks to connect, create your Reporter Sidekick account using the email associated with your access. Open the verification email, verify the address, and return to Codex to connect again if needed.
If two-step sign-in is offered, follow the enrollment instructions and keep recovery codes somewhere safe. Never send your password, sign-in codes, or recovery codes to support.
Try the sample job
Download the fictional sample job, extract it, and select that folder in Codex. Choose Reporter Sidekick Pro for the task and send:
Activate my Reporter Sidekick Pro access. Describe the sample exhibit in this folder and save the result here. Show me the completed file.
Activation links authorized access to your Reporter Sidekick account. If access is still pending, check the account email or contact support.
Open the result
Pro should confirm active access, read the sample exhibit, and provide a link to a saved description. Open that file before starting a real job. Then choose your own authorized job folder and tell Pro what you need.
If you get stuck
- Access not found: check that you signed in with the email associated with your Reporter Sidekick access. Contact support if access has not been enabled.
- Email not verified: use the verification email, then reconnect Pro.
- Access linked to another account: sign in to your original Reporter Sidekick account or contact support.
- Inactive access: contact support with your account email and the displayed status.
- No saved file: confirm that Codex has access to the selected folder and that you are using the Pro plugin.
